Criminal and Civil Appeals
- Appeals
- Probation and Parole
Appeals are filed when one party is dissatisfied with a ruling of a trial court (or higher court) and wishes to have the decision reviewed by an appeals court. Sometimes the appeal is a choice of a person or entity in the original case, and sometimes the appeal is 'as of right'.
Sometimes an appeal will lead to a reversal of the original decision. And regardless of the initial appeal results, a particular party may choose to appeal again, to another, even higher, court.
McDonough Law is committed to appealing appropriate cases to the appropriate courts. We will assist our client's effort to find justice by taking the case up the appeals court chain when there is just cause (such as when an error has been committed by a lower court.)
